कृषि एवं किसान कल्याण मंत्री श्री नरेंद्र सिंह तोमर ने भारतीय कृषि अनुसंधान परिषद (ICAR) व कृषि अनुसंधान और शिक्षा विभाग (DARE) के कार्यों की विस्तृत समीक्षा की। श्री तोमर ने कृषि विज्ञान केंद्रों के माध्यम से मृदा स्वास्थ्य परीक्षण के प्रचार-प्रसार पर विशेष जोर दिया ताकि किसान स्वप्रेरित होकर मृदा स्वास्थ्य परीक्षण कराएं और उस अनुरूप उवर्रक तथा सूक्ष्म पोषक तत्वों इत्यादि का उपयोग करें ।
